Pie and Cousins! 1-14-08

I seem to have switched my obsession with Backyardigans back to an obsession with Cailloo. Dad REALLY wishes I would switch back, but I don't know why! This morning Cailloo's dad made apple pie, and Dad said, "YUmmm, I sure wish I had some apple pie!" Believe me, he did NOT say that with any idea that Mom might actually make one. She tried making him some pies for his December birthday...and disaster doesn't even begin to cover it... she vowed to Grandma Rogers over Christmas break that she would never make another pie as long as she lived. Oh well, she actually decided to make Dad his beloved apple pie- it was a SUCCESS!!
As an added bonus, she convinced Aunt Emily with Hailey, and Aunt AnnaMarie with Katie to come over, let the kids play, and make a pie of their own! I went to sleep an hour late last night, and didn't sleep duringmy nap today (I seems to talk through about everyone other one...I think this is a dreaded sign of 'dropping the nap' ) and I was a little (lot) cranky! Dispite my timeouts at least 75% of the time my cousins were over, we all had a great time!!

Mom's pie- YUMMY YUMMY!!!

I mistakenly thought that if I tethered myself to the chair, Mom wouldn't make me move when she wanted to sit down!
My beautiful cousins- Peyton and Hailey

HELLO 2009! 1-10-09

WOW! It's already 2009, and I am one month away from being 3. I talk more like a 5 year old, so I crack Mom and Dad up everyday! Last night mom came in to tuck me into to bed (AGAIN!) She tucked me in at 7:30, but heard a loud crash at 8:30 and came in to see what was going on. I had been playing in my crib, and somehow feel and hit my head. I had also moved my pillow and all my animal friends around, so mom just put my pillow on the opposite side of the crib that it normally goes on, and tried to tuck me in again! I said to her, "Mom! Dat's on the wrong side! That doesn't make ANY SENSE AT ALL!" Mom just couldn't stop laughing, because what 2 year old says that? ME, of course!
